About Todd
Todd is a molecular bioengineer who trains customers and writes how-to manuals for a laboratory automation company by day and a novelist by night (strictly speaking it's early morning). Todd created this site to promote his novels while he hunts for an agent and publisher for A Clockwork Murder. In the mean time, he is editing his next novel--a biotech-themed science thriller (working title: Viral Coat)--and has written the next book in the Zook Terpin series.
Todd holds a BS in Physics and a Ph.D. in Bioengineering. He spent three years as a biophysics professor and fencing coach at Whitman College--a small liberal arts college in Walla Walla--before leaving academics and joining a biotechnology group at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. From there, he joined a laboratory automation company as the Field Technical Specialist, and after three years in the Sales and Marketing side of things, he switched over to the Customer Support side as an Applications Engineer/Technical Trainer.
Todd currently volunteers with the A Writer's Weekend writing conference organization. He put together and maintains their website, and gave a session on Science in Science Fiction. He plans to do it again at future conferences.
